Up to 80% of men and 42% of women have hair loss, which is an unpleasant problem that affects a significant section of the population. For both sexes, the possibility of developing hair loss increases with aging. Although there are several reasons why people lose their hair, androgenic alopecia (AGA), an androgen-sensitive pattern of hair loss that affects both men and women, is by far the most common reason[1].

A natural-looking hairline with sufficient density must be developed for hair transplantation to produce the required outcome. There are many variations on the techniques that have been outlined, and each one provides an explanation and a solution that has been tested. Latest techniques that can be beneficial for getting the best hair transplant results in Dubai.
In fact, there are non-surgical methods that might slow the growth of androgenic alopecia and even encourage the growth of new hairs (i.e., minoxidil, finasteride, dutasteride, low-level laser light therapy, platelet-rich plasma PRP and some home effective remedies). A hair follicle is made up of a hair shaft, two sheaths (the inner and outer) around it, and a germinal bulb. The follicle is divided into three sections: the inferior segment, the isthmus, and the infundibulum, which run from the skin’s surface to the attachment of the arrector pili muscle (from the muscle insertion to the base of the matrix) [2]. The growth cycle of scalp hair is as follows:

- The hair follicle’s 2- to 3-month resting period known as telogen is marked by a complete cessation of all activity. At any given time, 5 to 10% of scalp hairs are in telogen.
- The daily hair follicle shedding phase known as exogen is characterized by the loss of 25–100 telogen hairs, which are then replaced by brand-new anagen hairs.[3]
Methodologies for Hair Transplantation
Surgeons who had their training in Europe, North America, Pakistan, and India are available in Dubai’s world-class healthcare system. But methodologies and techniques used in different clinics in Dubai are common and advance with every passing year. Here details of these methodologies are discussed, starting from basic steps that are the same in each surgical technique patient opts for a hair transplant.
Planning, preparing, getting under anaesthesia, gathering the grafts, stabilizing them, transplanting the grafts, and dressing make up the process of hair transplantation. Blood tests, a complete medical condition history, and marking is the patient’s planning. Anaesthesia is performed after any necessary hair trimming and cleaning with antibacterial treatments. FUE is a method that uses circular punches to remove follicular units with one or two roots. It was suggested to use 2-4 mm punches instead of 1 mm since the transection rate in 1 mm harvests is unusually high.
A front hairline is created using FUE, and the bald region is transplanted using FUT, which includes strip harvesting (with bevelled incisions) and slicing of the strip under magnification. Micro-refined microfollicular hair transplantation is a recently published technique.[5]
DHI, a modified form of FUE, is comparable to FUE in terms of the hair follicles that are harvested, but the implantation of the follicles is done using special devices that are made just for this reason. While oblique-cut needles in the range of 0.40 to 2 mm are available on the market, the size of the pen’s needle may vary.
